Semester 01 - Digital reprasentation and design
"The views"
by C. Jungmann, Lisa Marie Noack
“Good architecture is ‘walked through, walked through’, inside and out. This is living architecture. - Le Corbusier
Location
Access is on the ground floor from the foot of the Boyneburg river bank and via the bridge over Schlüterstrasse. The building connects these two levels and appears to float above the water. Inside, a detour is created where visitors can linger and "get lost" at exhibits. The facade, made of grayed wooden slats, references the dark trunks of the riverside trees and blends into the context of the flood ditch.

Concept
The windows serve as an artistic complement: they frame the exterior like paintings, portraying different views of the city, beneath the bridge, along the river, or toward urban structures. The shape of the building guides visitors specifically toward these lines of sight. Three small windows facing Schlüterstrasse offer views at different heights, making them equally accessible to young and old.

Program
The exhibition is divided into a permanent and a temporary exhibition. The permanent exhibition consists of window views that appear like photographs when you step back. The temporary exhibition features photographs that, together with the windows, act as "paintings into the outside world," revealing various facets of nature and city life. A frosted glass roof protects the exhibits to control the light, while flexible partition walls create variable zones within the interior. A small bar completes the ground floor.
